Around this charming ruin are some of the rarest
plants in the garden.
To the left of the pool you can see two species of Podocarpus, conifers
from the Southern Hemisphere, both with extraordinary vivid new
shoots in Spring.
At different times in the year Iris japonica,
Iris pseudocorus, honesty and some crinums selected by Major Johnston
are in flower.
